Wintery Mont Buet

You might be forgiven for thinking that this photo was taken in Scotland in the winter, but no it’s on the summit ridge of Mont Buet in September! Over the weekend we had snow dustings down to 2000m and a cold spell with the first morning frosts in the valley. Not that it stopped all the weekend clients reaching the top, but it was an early warning that Autumn is approaching, and for all those heading to 4000m and above, an extra layer or two of clothing is highly advised.
